ALFREDD (Autonomous LionFish Realtime Edge Detection and Depopulation) is the bespoke artificial intelligence system powering the Reef Sweeper, purpose-trained to detect, track, and neutralize invasive lionfish with unmatched accuracy. Built on the F1 Platform and seamlessly integrated with Horizon ROS thruster control, ALFREDD processes real-time data from the ROV’s advanced camera array and onboard sensors to identify targets in complex reef environments.
Once a lionfish is confirmed, ALFREDD orchestrates precise navigation and aligns the Reef Sweeper’s spearing mechanism.
